Welcome to the International Center for Documentary Arts

The Center is dedicated to the promotion and advancement of all documentary art mediums with special emphasis on documentary, event and editorial photography. Since its inception in 1839, photography has made an immeasurable contribution in recording the world in which we live and work and play. This special contribution allows us a better understanding of peoples and cultures in far away places and, as important, helps give us a new perspective on scenes often much closer to home.
